NEW Leading Learning Exemplars, Winter 2018

Leading Learning Standards

By Carol Koechlin & Judith Sykes, Leading Learning Committee Co-Chairs

Introducing the CSL Leading Learning / L’Apprentissage en tête Committee

The work of this committee is to ensure that the national standards site continues to evolve as living documentation of authentic implementation and outreach. One of the most fascinating parts of the standards is the annotated indicator examples or illustrations, one or more for each indicator. These examples are linked from each indicator by clicking on the “See it in Action!” phrase in each box.

Shared from schools across Canada, these examples add richness, depth, visualization and connectivity to the website. Viewers can see the indicators “in action” happening somewhere in the country and think about how they can achieve or adapt similar expression of the indicator in their schools.

The new CSL committee has been working steadily in the background to update broken links and add new and exciting exemplars from across the country. We want to make sure you know about the newest so here are forty-two new ‘See it in Action’ exemplars in this chart for you to explore!

Our Leading Learning Challenge: We know that wonderful work is taking place in school libraries right around the country. If you have an example to illustrate implementation of CSL Standards please share with one of the committee members for committee review. Help us grow!
