Canadian School Libraries issued this statement on May 24, 2023 in response to growing calls across the country to remove or restrict access to books in school library collections that express LGBTQia2s+ perspectives, represent characters of differing sexual orientations or gender identities, or deal with sexual health, and books where the main characters are people of colour.
